We've been super lucky to work with many a great producer on label releases. From local emerging talent to well established studio tweakers along with a few personal 'idols' along the way and its with great excitement that we can now add Steve Cobby to the latter. He arrives on Sprechen with a very brilliant 4 tracker of across the board house hitters where each track becomes your fave of the release!
The wordy titled No Rope Will Bind Those Who Refuse To Submit opens up the party and is a straight up, straight forward simple but MEGA infectious groover. Peppered with African style shenanigans via snappy percussion hits left, right & centre as well as a hooky vocal that will guarantee you whistling this on your way home from the party.
This House is a straight up jacking electro fused house number with warped up vocals atop a big bubbling bass line. Before you know it a rave style breakdown takes over and its the 2nd Summer Of Love all over again.
I Need A Fix sounds like a long lost Mr Fingers track and harks back to the glory days of acid house where a soulful & hooky vocal wobbles on the 303 line and dubbed out bass notes. All present here and sounding rather large!
Korero closes things off and is one for the deep heads. Murk style squeaks & bleeps along a bowel rumbling bass line and a single synth reverb soaked stab throughout to hook you in. Hypnotic house music at its finest and a perfect one for those on the warm up set.
