"I started making this album in January 2024 following personally dark times, extensive touring, and approximately half a year of break from making music. When I was back, I initially tried to find a new sonic path as well as get over my mental state, so I approached all the tools and material prioritizing self reflection and having fun. From the production process with little compositional overthinking, randomly pacing fast & slow, extensively chopping and slicing samples, turning the beats upside down & using multiple meters; I tried not to limit myself, get more personal, and have more fun. The results reminds me the times I was involved in free improvisation studio sessions during whole my uni years and resemble the 1-shot live recordings that had extremely poor quality that listened to over and over again. So I think Playground is the album where I achieved my most diverse and experimental sound with that spirit. And after all, it feels amazing that I can even put this thing out publicly. But more than that, it is so cool that such a personal output is understood, liked, and published from a label I am a huge fan of."
