Canadian NuDisco phenomenon Nicolaas and Ghosts of Venice scored a hit in 2023, with the track "Hold Tight" (Ghosts of Venice Remix) which went viral on TikTok with millions of video views. Here the pair team up again to turn "Love on the Dancefloor" into a modern funk jam that recalls early 2000s R&B hits.

Mockridge is quite truly one of the most underrated Neo-soul singers of our era, and his perfectly executed romantic vocal pleas directed at his dancefloor partner recall the work of great soul tenors of the 60s and 70s. Ghosts of Venice drenches the production with lush synths, classic disco strings, chunky funk guitars and a bouncy bass synth line at the center of the track anchoring the groove.
