From Barbara - "My Best Friend" is inspired by my actual best friend, Simone. We met each other year’s ago when I DJ'ed her birthday that she shared with a friend of ours in Barcelona. We didn’t know then just how close we would become. Mindchatter brought us back together years later and then after we burned together we knew we’d be sisters for life. I can be a lot and she jokes that I’m her wife, first born and bff. Simone even inspired the name of my new label on Paradise Worldwide, Good Crazy, because together we’re unhinged. In fact, I don’t have too many people in my close circle who are “hinged” and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I'm pretty sure "My Best Friend" producer Ed Hoffman would agree which made him the perfect collaborator on this track. Simone and I have grown so much together through our friendship and really are blossoming into the best versions of ourselves. I’m a better person and kinder to myself because she’s in my life. And fun fact, she can not only rave and rage but she is incredibly smart. She’s an animal ophthalmologist—a veterinarian who specializes in treating eye disorders!
