Mirror Ball Recordings is thrilled to kick off 2025 by welcoming the extraordinary talent of STOUT to our label with her brand-new single,"Grateful".

Denise Renee, professionally known as STOUT, is a singer and songwriter from New Haven, Connecticut. She began her musical journey at the age of three in her great-grandmother's basement church, playing drums and singing in the children's choir. Her passion for music led her from these humble beginnings to international stages, performing as a backing vocalist for Alicia Keys from 2003 to 2006 and sharing the spotlight with icons like Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon, Missy Elliott, and Lenny Kravitz.

In 2015, she released the gospel album Awakened under the name Denise Renee. By 2018, she had joined Cory Henry and The Funk Apostles, further expanding her artistry. Known for her dynamic vocal range and captivating performances, STOUT blends gospel, funk, and rock influences, earning her a respected place in the music industry.

"Grateful" is produced by Supa Dave West who's production credits include his extensive catalogue with De La Soul plus work with fellow Hip Hop luminaries Talib Kweli, E-40, Slum Village, Planet Asia, Jim Jones, Phife Dawg, J Dilla, and members of the Wu-Tang Clan.
