A few years ago, I hit a bit of a creative block and couldn't seem to finish my tracks. For a couple of weeks, nothing clicked. One day, my girlfriend suggested I join her at a warehouse where she was organizing some work-related tasks, so I could try working on music in a new environment.
In the warehouse, I found myself a couch and started working on what would become 'Internet'. From the moment I began, it felt like stepping into a wormhole. Time flew by-what felt like ten minutes was actually four hours-and, somehow, I started and finished the track in that single session. I don't think I've ever finished a track so quickly.
When I started playing 'Internet' in clubs, the reaction was unreal. Every time, it felt like an anthem-an ironic ode to the internet and its ability to bring people together in one room. Fittingly, the vocal that ties it all together (I found it on the internet) was something I stumbled upon online.
