Next up on Critical Elements is a track we've been waiting to release with huge anticipation. Very good friends of the label, Latex Zebra and Mista Twist, have provided a breakbeat track that delivers on all the deep, atmospheric and energy laden sounds Critical Elements is all about.
The EP kicks off with the original mix, opening with sublime hunting synths and cymbals, building some serious anticipation before a monstrous chugging sub bassline kicks in to really set the big room mood. It's not long before a gorgeous wandering melody and a very subtle filtered vocal takes the track deep into space. A proper peak time bomb which can also be used mid journey to take a set to another level.
Next up we look to another big supporter of the label, Selsi, to deliver not one but two stunning remixes. We had Selsi lined up as a natural to remix this track and he didn't disappoint. Part One is the epitome of an intro track. A very long build up pulling the characteristics out the original and perfect for those longer sets. The atmosphere builds before the 4/4 beat kicks in deep into the track.
With Selsi Remix Part Two the 4/4 kicks in quickly to continue the built energy of Part One. Selsi gets going straight away with an acid synth weaving in and out of another chugging dirty bassline. This track really is about hypnotic rhythms and if all three were used together, we'd advise standing well back! Another great package delivered by artists we value as friends at the label.
