"Satori" is the debut album by Nic Sarno, marking the Milanese producer's arrival on White Forest Records. Shy and tireless in his search for new sounds, Nic Sarno is among the founders of the Italian new wave and part of the 2000s web phenomenon known as "blog house." Over the years, he has collaborated with various artists, including Buraka Som Sistema, Crookers (with whom he also co-produced a track for the cult video game "Grand Theft Auto"), Congorock, The Chemical Brothers, and Soulwax. He has also released music for the legendary TRAX Records, Lucky Beard, Kompakt, Mad Decent, and Southern Fried. He has received support from publications such as FACT Magazine, XLR8R, The Fader, VICE, Mixmag, NME, Trax Magazine, MTV, Rolling Stone Magazine, BBC Radio 1, and has taken part in compilations for I Love Techno and the historic FABRICLIVE series.

From the dancefloor to the conceptual, shedding the clubbing imagery his sound has been associated with so far, "Satori" is the result of two years of work. The entire album is intended as the soundtrack of a documentary never filmed about the emerging world: where the city is a laboratory of perpetual experimentation on humans and the road network is a neural map. It features post-dancehall splenetic IDM that contemplates the imminent future, the increase in technology, and the decrease in individuality. Yet, this world also has its ironic twist. The result is a spiritual awakening, beyond easy dualisms: where humans and their artificial extensions are and are not the same thing.
