We’re very pleased to welcome back Belgian drum and bass producer Solace to Dispatch Limited, last seen on the label in 2020.



This special two track release began life in the first lockdown of 2020. Finding the extra time to be creative a benefit, Solace was able to find new passion and drive in his production output.

But when it came to giving the track ‘Liminal Space’ a name, the lockdown started feeling strange. Empty roads, airports, city centres was a very unusual experience. Just like being at an empty airport at night, which is a classic liminal space. To be in a liminal space means to be on the precipice of something new but not quite there yet. You can be in a liminal space physically, emotionally, or metaphorically. Being in a liminal space can be incredibly uncomfortable for most people.



‘Repeat’ is also inspired by the restrictions of lockdown and life during the pandemic, perhaps in a more direct way than ‘Liminal Space.’ The title of the track came first, inspiring the whole production, and guiding the creative output of Solace.
