Marc West debuts on Piston Recordings alongside Pat Lezizmo who returns to the label with the fantastic ‘Waiting 4 U’. Marc West started out playing techno when he was a young boy. Between 2000 and 2005 he created his first mixes as well as making his own edits to fit in the set. By 2012 he was delivering his remixes to top labels out of his studio in Ghent, Belgium. We’re delighted to have him on board. Belgian artist Pat Lezizmo remains a pioneering force in the world of versatile house music for an extended period. His exceptional skill lies in seamlessly blending diverse genres, consistently igniting dance floors with his music. Great to see him back once again.
‘Waiting 4 U’ kicks off the release, opening with muted beats and rhythmic percussions before a nice thumpy kick drops in to take control. A groovy bassline creates depth and swing as short, stabby chords break through. The groove intensifies with the addition of more melodious keys and cool club-style vocal shots. A highly infectious mover that will be a welcome entry in any set. ‘1313’ closes out the release, delivering an energetically charged groover that will force you to move. Tight beats lead the way along with shuffling percussions and airy pads. Strong chords are scattered throughout and complimented with soft pianos and hair-raising note changes, which creates space and intrigue. Definite floor fodder that will not disappoint.
