Deep Division – Hype

Follow up to the chilled-out release Flow, a collaboration with Simon Sheldon, this time it gets deep, old skool and bouncy.

Bringing in the remixes Freebooter regulars Muzka, Simon Sheldon & Loew.

Deep Division aka Stevie Overend can usually be found twiddling knobs and making beats and bleeps in his fourth self-built studio in Belfast. Very much a hands-on producer, favouring the 'live' real time art of creating music which makes him a natural both in the studio and a live club environment. With the 90's rave scene lighting his creative flame, DJing at private parties and collecting equipment, synths, drum machines, more synths and more drum machines, Deep Division is now in a creative tsunami. Releases on Chris Coco's fabulous DSPPR and The Freebooter Lounge to date with many more lining up as are the live gigs at home, England and recently playing the spiritual home of dance music, Ibiza, 2024 is looking like a busy year for Deep Division.

Loew has went under many guises over the past 25 year with releases on Legendary label's Get Physical, Renaissance and Global Underground. Loew also has a prolific engineering portfolio engineering for artists on Sasha's LNOE, John Digweed's Bedrock, Solomuns Diynamic, Atlantic records Signal Supply, Hot since 82's Knee Deep in Sound,Skreams Of Unsound Mind, Anjuna Deep & many more. Loew describes this new project as being about what he wants to hear and feel. Not following trends and genres.

Simon Sheldon has been writing, producing, releasing, and performing under many pseudonyms for 30 years plus. In various ensembles and as a solo artist, he has played lived in the US, throughout Europe and Asia and now with his label The Freebooter Lounge has guested on Café Mambo radio during lockdown and had the 9th top selling Electronica track at another download site for 2022 for his collaboration with fellow freebooter LOEW and DJ T which got to number 1 @ another download site and Sasha put 'Blaze' on his hugely respected 'LUZoSCURA' collection

Muzka has been DJing since the late 90s, spinning in clubs around Belfast and across the country. He prides himself on not being pigeonholed to one genre which can be heard in his productions, taking their influence from hip hop, electro, dub, house, disco, techno and everything in between. Muzka has released under a number of monikers such as Mu$kat, Sir Plus and as himself on Cut La Rocs 'Roctstar Records'. These days you can catch him DJing at Ulster Sports Club, Belfast, making beats for local MCs and producing beautiful leftfield electronica.
