Mister P exploded onto Hong Kong's music scene in 2011 with a legendary live act set alongside one of the pioneers of house music, DJ Mr. Mike.
So who is Mister P? He speaks five languages but none like he speaks music. For the musical language of Mister P, combine Spanish beats with Swiss timing perfection, throw in Asian vibes and a litte Caribbean rhythm and you're halfway there.
Born in the capital of Spain's Andalusia, Seville, Mister P has brought his unique brand of electronic dynamism to stages from Spain to Switzerland, France to Hong Kong, Germany to Aruba. At a young age, his parents discovered his unusual aptitude and passion for music and took him to flute and xylophone lessons, but desperate to create his own sound, Mister P persuaded his father to buy him a computer for Christmas. The life-changing gift arrived and Mister P set up his first music studio at the age of 13.
In these formative years, Mister P was inspired and educated by groups such as Technotronic, Bomb The Bass, Depeche Mode and the immortal Kraftwerk. He was also influenced by the UK's Acid House scene. By the early 1990s, music producers recognized his talent for working large crowds and began promoting him as a live act.
Others in the industry quickly discovered this amazing talent and he soon began producing for groups in a wide variety of styles, from hip-hop to progressive to house.
It was at this point that Mister P decided to take his music to other parts of the world. He has spent the past decade spreading his sound throughout Asia and the Caribbean, adding irresistible grooves to his musical arsenal but also ripping up some of the biggest party venues on the planet along the way.
As well as his live show-stopping performances with Mr. Mike, Mister P has performed alongside the biggest DJs in his present hometown Hong Kong, including the legendary DJ Joel Lai after who's club this P's first release on Vertige records is named DROP.
