Super Yellow EP

DJ Nukem, DJ Gogo

Vertige Records
VER0212 | 2012-12-24
Super Yellow is the oldest and most successful Thursday night party project of Zurich. For about 14 years clubbers in Zurich have found a home during the week. The Yellow-nights have become legendary.
Superyellow takes place once every two months at the well known club Supermarket in Zurich with fine deep and tech house beats from Super Yellow creator DJ Gogo and Friends. In 1987 the young techno culture in Zurich was heavily influenced by Gogo. He set up the first Zurich underground techno club in 1991 and played at the most famous clubs around the world.
He released and remixed tracks of well known artists and had a huge success with his records on the English label Hooj.
The Dutch label Cyber Records contracted him as one of their main producers.
Since then Gogo has published more than thirty tracks, which the UK's well-respected DJ Magazine described as being amongst 'the deepest tracks ever'. An attribute which doesn't need any more explanation.
In March 2001, DJ Gogo and his partners made a dream come true: they took over the former Matrix club in Zurich and re-opened it as Club Q. Which quickly became the place to go to hear cutting edge music in Zurich.
'Lipstick' for the Super Yellow EP is GoGo's first official release after several years away from the production front.
DJ Nukem discovered his passion for house music in 1993. A few years later, he was offered a contract by Cyber Records Holland and some of his best works were very well received by repected DJ's and producers like John Digweed, Danny Tenaglia and Steve Lawler.
Music Play, his most successful piece, to date entered the UK Progressive House charts at number 7.
The enormous success of this track and subsequent albums made him a popular act in the international club scene.
So it is not surprising that he was in great demand. Playing gigs with with Carl Cox, Dave Seaman and rocking clubs in Japan and Mexico.
Gogo had already booked him several times as a guest for his cult label Superyellow before finally hiring him as resident DJ at his club Q.
'After working on various projects over the years with Nukem and Go Go it is a genuine pleasure for me to welcome them to VERTIGE records and we are very excited about releasing these two fantastic tracks from two legends of the Swiss dance scene'
