'Battle Scars' opens the EP in dramatic style and acts as a fittingly cinematic introduction before 'Control Phase' hits hard and direct; a slice of sweeping, grinding techno in its purest form. Title track 'Broken Signals' is an absolute beauty, aching pads, full of hope, cemented by an almost electro-tinged beat and set against a distant static noise. 'Contortion' follows with nothing short of relentless, bubbling malevolence. Bringing the EP to a close, is 'Wild Horses' with its layers of unmistakable Kennedy melody set against a solid 909 backdrop.
