It has been in the pipeline for a while, but it’s finally here. The debut release from Nijmegen’s underground house & techno collective ESHU. They have been working and shaping their sound for over a year and gained quite the following on SoundCloud for their relentless output. It’s deep, it’s slow, it’s really dirty and it’s to put your finger on.

ESHU is the story of four friends who found each other not only behind the decks, but since last year also in the studio. After many nighttime sessions Roger Gerressen, Jocelyn Abell, Ivano Tetelepta and Daan Anders decided to join forces as ESHU. Result is a non-stop stream of tracks with a very specific sound and signature. They perform together under the collective name and an ESHU label is to be released in the fall of 2011.

Two tracks will be released on Wolfskuil Ltd as a taster of what’s to come. ‘Naturally Divine’ is 14 minute electronic monstertrip with curious offbeat rhythms and detailed & mindblowing sounddesign. It builds tension without ever releasing into climax, making time fly by and 14 minutes seem way to short. Monrovia on the flip is a nice contrast, but again this techno groover stands out through it’s unique choice of sounds, synths and layers.

ESHU proofs that it’s a force to be reckoned with.
