D.J. MacIntyre's SLC-6 Music rounds out the month of April by showcasing the first of two new sets of interpretations of Runik's ‘Dawn / Dusk' album. Released in September of 2022, the long player was a prime example of the Paraguayan duo's ranging creative aptitude, with the thirteen-track affair finding a perfect balance between dance floor minded productions and living room listenability. Now, as we prepare for 2023's spring and summer seasons, SLC-6 Music invites Digital Mess, Lena Storm, Headkube, Ucros and Blanka Barbara to re-imagine select tracks from the album for 'Dusk: Remixed.'

First up and making a welcome return to the label is Digital Mess who delivers a smooth emotive rendition which presents the vocal in a poignant melodic narrative. Next up label debutant Lena Storm follows releases via Kitchen Recordings and Skytop with a progressive rendition of ‘Talisman'. Hyperactive arps, chugging grooves and colourful atmospherics are the order of the day, while an uplifting break ultimately sets the course for a finale which is equal parts astral and emotive.  Moving forward SLC-6 Music stalwart Headkube returns with a peak-time interpretation of ‘The Edge of the World', one where we find the Italian artist sounding larger than ever. Selection four welcomes Ucros for the second interpretation of ‘Twilight'. The Miami resident reprocesses the vocal to prophetic effect, while a backbone of charged beats and colourful synth swagger should make for an enthusiastic dancefloor. The release concludes with Blanka Barbara making her label debut following projects for J00F Recordings and Juicebox Music. The Polish born, UK based artist takes ‘The Chapel' into deeper territory and in turn provides a version that is rich in rhythm, texture and musicality.
