Hernan Cattaneo returns to the label showing off the amazing talent of Jody Barr, picked as his studio partner for the first time on the upcoming 'Airglow' EP.

'El Maestro' needs little introduction. An active DJ since 1983, it was his fateful residency for Clubland at Pacha Buenos Aires that saw him take the world by storm after being noticed by Perfecto Records boss, Paul Oakenfold. Life since has become a blur of international gigs, genre-defining mixes and global acclaim, but always at the heart of it is the music he loves and wants to share with the world. This will never change.

Jody, by comparison, is still very much in the beginnings of his career. But what a start it's been! Signed to LNOE, The Soundgarden, Armada and more, his sound is vibrant, uplifting and groovy winning him plaudits as diverse as Black Coffee, Alan Fitzpatrick and Joris Voorn.

First up, title track 'Airglow' wastes no time in finding its feet. Subtle acid bubbles alongside the snappy percussive framework of the opening section, and airy sweeps billow into the soundscape ramping up the energy for the main drop, where ornate synths remind us of trancey memories and sweaty hugs in a field during high summer.

'Clara's Dream' opens with deep tribal vibes. Low slung and mellow, the e-moments are super emotive. Finally, 'First Wave' ups the tempo with more subtle tribal feels. Arps and a wobbly reese bass aim this one squarely at those moments Hernan is famous for when all bets are off and there's no way you're ever leaving this dance floor! Even after 40 years at the top of his game, Hernan continues to find a way to surprise and delight us all.
