Adriana Vasques’ original music is both ancient and modern, the stripped down simplicity of b5 has echoes of classic psychedelia and the piano led musings of Robert Wyatt, yet it’s definitely of now and not lodged in some retro time warp. Maria Chiara Argiro’s remix takes the tune into more obviously contemporary territory with a sheen of lush electronica and dubbed out dreaminess that further reinforces it’s psyche essence.
