The combination of Electronic Dance Music, DJing, visual arts and dance is almost synonymous to the 5 elements of Hip Hop, comprising MC-ing, Turntablism, B-boying, Beatboxing & Graffiti.
A marriage between these mostly separate worlds was bound to happen at some point in time, be it not the first, this album by Toni Sauna & Daniel Englisch has got a unique style and sound altogether and the term Hip House alone would not do this justice.
Where music genres are more and more divided into small cages of sub genres, this album breaks that barrier too. Expect influences from early 80's Electric Boogie, 90's Acid House, Rap, Techno and Breakbeats, right up to more modern takes on the same musical spectrum, all fitting together like a well oiled machine as though it was always meant to be.
This very first release on Groom Lake Universal holds 9 original tracks + 4 instrumental 'B-sides'. The album artwork was created by the amazing Japanese artist; Ryuji Oguni, who was introduced to us by Groom Lake Agent AbuQadim Haqq.
