Całość imprint is back with their third release - a solo EP from Mislaw - one of the label founders. On "Cherry Spectrum", he displays a colorful array of production skills, showing his extensive musical background. The resulting 4 tracks, along with Rethe's remix make for a rolling, stomping, yet soulful and emotional ride.
"Red Sprites and Blue Jets" with distant details, unexpected shifts and precisely crafted percussion instantly capture attention, resembling the atmospheric phenomena after which the track is named. Spiced up by layers of suspenseful, pulsating synths, with subtle vocal whispers weaved in between the beats.
The title track - "Cherry Spectrum'' has a clear intention to stir up as many dancefloors as possible. Its light-hearted melody laid on top of punchy rhythms perfectly balances the other, more serious tunes.
"Stokes Shift" is as close to a"subtle banger"as it gets, with its emerging, bubbling synth layers and atmospheres complemented by a steaming, powerful groove that gradually synchronizes the mind and body.
"Pipe Dream" concludes the release with its romantic piano melody, invoking an oddly familiar feeling of waking up from a very long dream. At the same time, thunderous beats built around the main motif make it exciting and danceable.
Rethe's remix translates and mixes up the melodies found in the original into a more delicate, spacious and less dancefloor-oriented territory, while still packing a punch.
