Kuzey returns to Piston Recordings with the superb ‘Lonely’ which follows his last effort ‘Morgenland EP’. Born in Switzerland, growing up in Turkey and settling back in Switzerland, music has always been a big part of Kuzey’s life. He played around with various instruments as a child, piquing his interest in the electronic sound. In 2000, this interest starting to gather momentum, he began to DJ and ultimately secured many gigs across Europe, playing alongside some of the world’s most famous jocks. In 2008 he got into producing and has been responsible for some special moments in deep house music ever since. Always a pleasure having him here.

For over a decade the amiable Romanian producer and DJ has built a body of work characterised by deep grooves, crisp precision, and irresistible energy. On the remix here, he captures the essence of the original beautifully while beefing up the groove with vibrant stabs and added musical elements. The drums are infectious, laying the foundation for the groovy bassline and upfront chords to do their work. A top-notch cut that is not to be missed.
