Purple Wave

Tatie Dee

Friendsome Records
FSR003 | 2022-12-02
Friendsome Records and Tatie Dee are delighted to present to you her debut EP Purple Wave. After a few singles released on various french and international labels and compilations, that launched a very promising career, the young prodigy has produced this beautiful 5 tracker to take you on an Acid trip full of jumpy melodies, heavy beats and banging drops !
Oscillating between "classic" House and contemporary Acid touches , you will first be taken on a journey of grooves fully produced by Tatie Dee (A1 to A3). Each in their own styles won't definitely get a crowd in stagnation ! The B side has much more heaviness to it, starting with a remix by the one and only UK legend Mr G, where he took Take Me Up in a mix which only he has the secret for. Followed by the last (but not least!) track of the record, OMZ, which we could describe as the "dirty side" of Tatie Dee.
Enjoy your trip !

It was in the bars and clubs of Lille that it all began for Tatie Dee, or perhaps at the age of 6 in the Conservatory of Music, where she learned to play the violin. As a student, Tatie Dee started djing in 2018 in Lille's nightlife. There, she started developing a strong taste for House, and began to grow her vinyl collection with classics that will have a lasting influence on her future productions: Ron Trent, Chez Damier , Kerri Chandler, Boo Williams, and especially Glenn Underground.
But the real starting point will perhaps be her first chosen-gender events when staying in Chile, during which Tatie Dee made her first solo sets. A journey that will make her artistic impulse more and more inseparable from her beliefs.
On her return to France, she bought her first production gears, started producing, and at the same time created the podcast Battements Par Meuf ("beat per girl"). As a continuity, she co-founded the collective Tout Feu Tout Femme ("all women blazing"), to highlight female musicians of Lille metropolis. Activism excitement and prolific creation feed each other. Her sounds, tinged with acid house, italo-dream and garage, finally strike the eyes of collective and label Friendome Records, which she joined in September 2021 and with whom she will release her first EP ""Purple Wave"", on November 17th 2022.
Mixing on vinyl to find the authenticity of the origins, from Chicago to New York via Manchester, Tatie Dee has already proven herself in places such as Rex Club, Le Sucre, Badaboum, Club 21 (Florence), or even at the Belair Festival. It is already part of the continuity and recent revival of house music, recognized for its vitality and an unfailing sense of celebration, like the D.KO or MLIU labels, and female producers such as Cinthie or Marina Trench.

About Purple Wave EP

Years of listening and musical practice later, this EP is the realization of everything I learned. From Acid to House, I oscillated between my two favorite styles to produce four dancefloor oriented tracks. In addition, a remix produced by one of my greatest inspirations, Mr. G., and I could hardly wish for a better gift ! It is with great pride and emotion that this first album will be released on my label of heart, Friendsome Records.
