Stefan Vincent’s precise and heady missives have already won over techno fans via releases on Token, Balans and Kirk Degiorgio’s Applied Rhythmic Technology and his five-track ‘Inhabiting The Same Space In A Different World’ EP for Symbolism will undoubtedly continue to earn him plaudits.
From the robust but lean groove of ‘Imposter’ to the fathoms deep ‘Renunciation’ and its accompanying dub tool, ‘Inhabiting The Same Space In A Different World’ EP is enveloping, engaging and otherworldly business from the off. Rounding out the release with the skittering funk of ‘Contorted’ and the woozy FM Bells of the epic ‘Comforting A Stranger In The Smoking Room Of A Darkened Structure’, Vincent is clearly in his element.
