'The validity effect is the increase in perceived validity of repeated statements'

Drawing its inspiration from the psychological concept of the same name, 'Validity Effect' explores repeated instrumentation, drums and 303 sequencing switched up across all four tracks to deliver a varied, club-ready release. 'Bounce in My Mind', the 808 driven dancefloor weapon that opens the EP, sees Akumen deliver a hypnotic stomper rife with rhythm. The fast paced, dubby synths of 'Processing Fluency' follows with similar energy with an added layer of acid sprinkled on top before the EP's title track drops it down a notch with fast paced, distorted synth lines over rolling snares. To close out the EP Akumen takes us back to acid town with a 303 mix of 'Validity Effect', managing to create a culmination of the rest of the EP's tonal qualities in what is set to be a certified dancefloor mover.
