Bringing in our final release of 2021, NoZzo resident Cosmin Horatiu makes his label debut as he delivers a sophisticated and groove-focused EP comprising two original jams and a remix from London's very own George Smeddles on 'Fly Tonight'.
Romanian talent Cosmin Horatiu has been stamping his style on the scene for some time now. Following releases on a slew of well-respected labels and recently having joined the NoZzo family, Cosmin makes his label debut with 'Fly Tonight'.
Opening with the title track, 'Fly Tonight' centres around an instantly catchy bassline and rolling rhythm. Subtle percs and fills add even more movement to the record, accentuated further by soulful vocal cuts and synth shots that bring a funky persona. Heavy on melody and feel-good energy, this one is a guaranteed vibe-builder.
Next up, renowned beatsmith George Smeddles takes the stage with his LDN Remix of 'Fly Tonight'. Featuring pleasant amounts of his signature bumpy flow from end to end - Smeddles' notorious UK Deep Tech blueprint sees the original track retain its funkiness but in a much more stripped-back and basement-geared sense.
Closing the release, 'Dig That' ramps up the pace whilst keeping things melodic and groovy. Blending classic Deep House vibes with uptempo Deep Tech punchiness, its bright and dreamy synths & pads bounce off a robust bed of beats and bass for a uniquely rich and enjoyable end result.
