War Trumpet

War Trumpet is form a bunch of tracks I made with my Elektron RYTM and Elektron Analogue 4 - two exceptional pieces of hardware. The RYTMs Tom engine provides the backbone for the track with that rolling baseline and slight frequency shift at the end of each phrase. The dub chord is from the Analogue 4 and for me had such an infectious quality that I wanted it to be present for most of the track. War Trumpet reminds me of the kind of thing I'd hear deep in the witching hour at an outdoor party, just before sunrise, just before things would lighten.

Phantom Phoenix

Phantom Phoenix is a track designed to waft across the listener, enveloping them into a morphing, textured, sequence of events that invoke landscape and other geographical phenomenon. Its gurgling baseline provides a bedrock for a number of spatial events to occur, somewhere overhead. Like War Trumpet, Phantom Phoenix is designed for a particular context and time but functions equally as listening music for the imaginative minded.
