Following his well received 12" with Burial, Keysound co-founder Blackdown continues his exploration of the space between swung 130 bpm UK bass music and the intense euphoria of early Detroit techno.

"A lot of the music I've made in the last few years has a darker edge," Blackdown explains. "But when the first lockdown hit in March '20 and we were flooded with feelings of dread, I found myself wanting to write something with some warmth - and maybe even some joy or optimism."

"I guess I was thinking about the time when we could all dance and be together again and that came out in 'UKD' and also my remix of Denham Audio's "Overused Vocal Track 2."

Dusk + Blackdown continue to use their monthly Rinse FM show to find and celebrate creative tracks & new artists in the fertile 130 bpm bass music space.
