Portuguese DJ and electronic music producer Miguel Palhares, joins us on Piston Recordings with his debut slice titled, Keep On Dancing, which comes backed up with two solid remixes from Kuzey and Pat Lezizmo. Miguel’s brand of music makes use of various styles ranging from deep, funky and jackin’ house with a little bit of old school flavour. He’s been influenced by electronic music from a young age and started to DJ at 19 years old. He’s performed at top clubs throughout Portugal and he has a reputation for providing quality and versatility in his tune selection, always bring fun and energy to the party. Since 2013, he’s enjoyed several releases on top labels and we’re delighted to have him here.

The Original Mix kicks us off, churning out a highly infectious, dancefloor filling groove. A heavy bassline drives the groove as classic piano chords are let loose. Cool vocals add a clubby vibe before the track takes on a funky persona. Top-notch stuff. Switzerland based DJ, producer Kuzey returns to Piston after his last effort, Game Over EP featuring Andra Maria, with a top-notch remix. Having released a raft of tracks on many labels, Kuzey is always up to the task of delivering only the very best for his audience. Great to have him back. Here, he offers up a superb, classic style groove thanks to jackin’ beats and subtle chords. Striking percussions stand out, slicing through that thick bassline and boosting the rhythmic qualities. A definite must have. Closing the release, Pat Lezizmo marks his Piston debut with an excellent remix. The Belgian has been at the forefront of creating versatile house music for a long time. He is a master at fusing different genres and he always gets the results on the floors. The remix here raises the bar, thanks to a super tight construction made up of solid beats, vibrant piano chords and a plucky bassline. There’s a deep, warming element which envelopes the groove alongside cool vocal shots. Great stuff that will not disappoint.
