'Bodymapping' was Cristian Vogel's second album for Tresor and his third career album. It was originally released on vinyl and CD in 1996.

Mostly recorded in '95 on a modest home setup, probably using only Amiga, Pro One, EMU Morpheus, ESI32 and Drumstation. It was released by Tresor Berlin a year later. The opening track became quite a reference for the emerging European minimal techno scene, perhaps because of its tight sound design. Generally the tracks celebrate the body and sexuality through rushy and sensual digital sounds, sometimes verging on celebratory proto-techhouse. Check out the use of a whistle sample on 'Forwards and Backwards'. You don't hear whistle samples that often these days. 'Bite and Scratch' became a big favourite for many German fans, mostly due to the acetate play during a tour Vogel did for Tresor in 1995 along with Joey Beltram and Blake Baxter. The infamous live radio broadcast from the tour date at Aufschwung Ost in Kassel opened so many young minds to the new techno sounds.

Thanks to all the fans who funded the remastering project and allowed this music to be available again.
