speedometer. is Osaka based producer Jun Takayama’s project.
His first album was released by Fumiya Tanaka’s label Untitled Records in 1997. Then he started his music career as a beat maker. He released six albums in 1998-2003. Also, his EP “Nightboat From Alaska” has been released by Nujabes’s label “Tribe”.
He stopped to release any beat music with his alias “speedometer.” since 2003. So this “Unknown Dance EP” is new release for the first time in seventeen years.
Sometimes people in Japan have called his music “Frozen Core”. We do not know who started to name like that. But You might understand when you listen to his music.
