Album Only
It's been over 5 years now since we launched our little label and to be fair we\'ve learnt a lot since then and even if we say so ourselves the quality has gone through the roof!

Now the name 'Trendy mullet' was always to be taken in jest in a little tirade at the passing fads that both music and hair cuts seem to follow. Kind of here today gone tomorrow! Plus whilst we were promoting nights and trying to get our first tracks signed we found a common theme with some of the utter douche bags we were dealing with 'Trendy mullets'

Anyway fast forward 5 years and we're a little more laid back and have decided to continue our quest! On this release we welcome Shades of Grey co owner, London based DJ and lover of moody ass looking promo photos Mr Owen Howells. For his debut EP Owen provides us with two cuts of bass heavy house music, just the way he likes it!!!! Back 2 You is a stripped down percussion heavy workout with a slight funky tech edge as he teases R&B vocals in and out of the groove. And Then I Edit on the other hand is a WTF 3am cheeky edit of a cult 80s classic.

To round the package off nicely we welcome Saytek and Dj Da to the Trendy family. Saytek has been ripping things up nicely over the past couple of years, catching the eye of some guy called Carl Cox in the process who described him as 'One of the UK's freshest and most exciting acts' If it's good enough for the big man it's good enough for us! Dj Da pretty much slipped under the radar to us until he sent us an amazing set of promos which ended up being signed to a much bigger label offering a 12' release (how much we would love to be in that situation!), however he has been quietly going about his business releasing quality deep and techy edge tunes on massive labels such as King Street Sounds, Great Stuff, Kina, Plastic City and even the massive Yoshitoshi. not a bad CV if you ask us!!!

We must add that we've also met plenty of people who had mullets and were nice and I myself have had a semi-cultivated mullet at one point (I just couldn't go the full hog!)
