UK born, South Africa based producer Jumping Back Slash kicks off new London based record label CLUB YEKE with 7 track EP “ANIMALS”.

The label aims to present the most innovative and exciting underground electronic sounds, from the African Diaspora, via the Caribbean, Latin America, the UK and beyond. ANIMALS offers a new exploration into global club with a hard hitting statement of intent.

This 7 track musical journey through jungles, forests, and savannahs explores the brutality and beauty of wildlife, featuring collaborations with the Lesotho shepherd poet Morena Leraba, bringing his native Famo style singing, rapping and poetry to tracks “ Tsemedi” and “Mantlapa en Litsiroane”.

Speaking about the forthcoming EP, JBS shared: “I wanted to make a record that felt like a dream in a jungle. A little psychedelic and connected to myths. I wanted it to feel like the end of ‘Apocalypse Now'. Nature reclaiming our houses, people receding into the trees. Surrounded by animals.”
