Fresh off the back of the excellent 'Key Of Love' Terence:Terry's La Vie En Rose imprint returns with the 'Background EP'. Parisian DJ/Producer Rafael Murillo enlists the vocal talents of DOP man, Jaw, for a slice of brooding tech house on 'Background'. Sleek beats and sinister textures ride a growling bass line as percussive elements build and drive the energy. Jaw's vocal is used to deft effect throughout, hypnotising the listener every step of the way. Fellow French man Vincent Vidal ramps the energy up with the infectious 'Backside'. Dreamy synths build and build as a relentless beat drives the rhythm. On remix duties Alexkid's groove focused take of 'Background' makes use of undulating synths and a deep bass line, whilst up and coming producer Hanfry Martinez turns 'Background' into an after hours anthem. With it's low slug bass, pitched down vocals and infectious synth tweaking, Hanfry's remix is destined for the more discerning floors.
