Whether producing alongside fellow artists or releasing solo material via a number of the scene's most respected labels, Andrew Rasse, aka Butane, continues to build on his reputation as one of the most consistent names within house and techno, with his latest label Extrasketch becoming an essential hub for his ongoing work. Initially launched as a 'vanity label' to house his own material, Rasse's introduction of close friends to the label in 2019 opened the door for an ongoing series of collaborations, with Hungarian DJ and producer Andras Toth being the first to land on the imprint. A longstanding collaborator of Rasse's, releasing music via both his Alphahouse and Little Helpers imprints, Toth's catalogue has also welcomed material via Note Records and Akkult, with his deep, minimal sound finding support amongst a host of key players in the scene. Having last combined on the label in May to offer up their nine-track experimental 'Odysseys' project, the pair now return to Extrasketch with their latest collaboration 'Intergalactic' - delivering three deep and introspective productions typical of their partnership.

Lead production 'Echoes' sets the tone for the EP in hypnotic fashion, taking cues from its title as warping, echoed vocal chants weave amongst heavy drums, shuffling percussion and a crackling synth lead. Next, the slow-grooving 'Spacetime' brings a hazy, delicate melody and slick organic drums to the refined core groove, keeping a funky yet hypnotic ultra deep vibe. To close, the striking yet eerie 'Avatars' switches up proceedings as Rasse and Toth opt for an entrancing spaced-out medley, with sweeping atmospherics atop of further tripped out vocals and a syncopated, murky low-end to shape up the package in style.
