Introducing Rotty’s first release for Eagervision, the ‘Rather Gorgeous’ EP is minimalistic, mesmerising and energetic. Picking up influences from 2000s minimal, the title track still sounds as crisp as if it was produced in the future with a tight minimal groove uplifted into magic. The signature bleepy patterns of Rotty are merged beautifully with touching chords in the second track “Rise”. Finally, the little treasure “Start of Something” finishes the EP on a slightly melancholic tone, with a middle-of-the-night deep mood, making this record as complete as it is versatile.
