RSR is proud to welcome a new artist to the label! Lunabass is a diligent producer based in Adelaide, Australia, and has already had some success with signings on Salted, Beatdown and Inspected Music. His "Really Heavy EP" explores a diverse range of sounds and flavours, with elements of disco, jackin, deep and soulful all playing a part in this excellent EP.
"Section 172" kicks off the EP with a delightfully deep nu-disco groove with Lunabass himself on the remix. This mix glides effortlessly along and seems to encapsulate your ears from the first kick drum. A timeless mix. The original picks up the tempo and has a jackin approach, with Bos on sax and a bumpin bassline, this is a perfect summer jam.
Next up is the deeper cut "Curly Mullet", which bumps hard from its throbbing bassline and hypnotic synth melodies. "Amy's House" and "Really Heavy" explore a much deeper sound, offering some great groove based tracks for dj's to warm up the crowd and dancers to cut some rug to. Lastly the label bosses, Yogi & Husky, lend their hand to the EP and take their mix on their signature funky tip, offering a cut up sax vibe with a hypnotic chord hook which switches up the groove in the middle of proceedings. Random Soul then edit their mix down for the deep house heads, sticking on the more stripped vibe for the club heads among us.
Enjoy the music, and we encourage you to support it in your charts and mixes !
