Dublin%u2019s Woozy collective carries the torch for the nu-skool diaspora, setting the dials firmly for the low-end with Woozy001. 7-tracks primed for all bass intents & club purposes.

Woozy is EMA & Sputnik One, exemplars of the dub-heavy strains of modern soundsystem culture. Both based in Ireland%u2019s capital, the duo are responsible for traversing the exciting modern mutations of the UK sound via their acclaimed club sets, mixes and productions. First a party series, the crew now set their sights on capturing the zeitgeist with their debut release.

It%u2019s a red-light-inna-basement kind of feeling across the collection of 7 tracks, where the tempo strays wide but always rudely %u2018floor-focused. Kamus

commences the adventure with Karnival, signalling the rave sirens afloat a percussive techno dancehall lurch. Bristol%u2019s Jurango then heads to the Second Floor, whirling in with a chugged-up dembow snapper of pure intent. Woozy%u2019s own Sputnik One ventures into Country Living, riding a supple bruk%u2019d tech lean with futurist poise. Yushh sculpts a canny UK electro/techno hybrid with the slippery digi-stepping of Team Boot, while Dublin%u2019s Glimmerman commands a dark, funked-up roller in the hypnotic d%u2019n%u2019b fervour of Chainlink.

Kellen303 abstracts the wub, skittering across a 140 bassbin-heaver in Pinehearse. For curtain call, San stuns with Unknown Terms, a %u2018Form & Function%u2019 style tekstep skank-out topped with modern flair and exquisite execution.
