Fresh from producing a blistering single for our first ever VA 'Analogue Volume 1'earlier last year, Japanese duo Koichi Sato & Mika Kitten returns with their first Album called 'Monks'.
Produced in the later part of 2019, 'Monks' marks their terrific return to Evolvement. The album tracks trademark Koichi & Mika, a master class in tension and release, characterized by a slick low-end bass hum that gathers steam as crunchy drum lines and breathy vocal accents combine effectively with the main vocal lead.
'Monks' is full of Melodic House and Ethereal Acid Techno like styles. Its about an ancient Japanese tale in which different forms of the past and expressed. Warm melodies connected with complex rhythms and traces of different ethnic origins. Three original stories 'Monks' / 'Bloom' / 'Floating Ice'.
'Bloom and Floating Ice' are a combination of unique sounds where anyone can appreciate the quality and finesse that carries out a deep techno experience to the next level.
Isabela Clerc, TKNO and Horacio Cruz joined in with blistering remixes for 'Monks' and 'Bloom' originals , which make this album so unique.
Altogether the album mood follows the brooding path of Japanese sound and it aims at the late night floors.
