PRESS RELEASE
Of Norway never fail to impress. Their eloquent and exquisite compositions tease and caress the ear and sit as easily on the home stereo as they do on the club system. Often cinematic, their music carries the wintery chill of their homeland whilst also giving off a warm and enticing feeling. At the fear of using worn clichés, Of Norway's productions are perfect to 'lose yourself' in.
Having released their early work on Swedish imprints Audiobahn and Deeplay, it was their 2010 "Strings Of Death" ep and their 2011 remixes for Darkroom Dubs that saw them really make an impact. Their remixes of Freska and most recently Terje Sæther, firmly established Of Norway as a key member of the DRD family.
For their second full release for the label the guys bring us the somewhat unnervingly titled "Blot Ditt Eige Lam" (Sacrifice Your Own Lamb). Slow, sinister, moody material from the Norwegian's. Layers of sounds and instrumentation that together created a beautifully textured piece. Their Of Norway Version sees them roll out another trademark extended mix. Picking up the pace they deliver a more floor friendly version of the their original.
On the remixes DRD complete the all Norwegian lineup by inviting Frisvold & Lindbaek and Nils Noa on board. The duo take the original in a more atmospheric, progressive direction and Nils keeps the vibe going whilst adding more drive and melody.
