Killer release on Melbourne's Bump Music which has seen chart action from all the big players
After establishing itself with a stellar first EP from Style of Eye and Lil Mark, Melbourne's Bump Music does it again with another great two tracker from Miles Maeda. This is a deeper affair, with Miles bringing his quirky brand of funk to the label. Aimed squarely at the dancefloor, this EP has all of Miles's trademarks in full effect. The bumping basslines, off-kilter funk and clever sampling are all front and centre on My World, a deep but energetic workout with a catchy female vocal providing the main focus. The irresistible analog bassline gives the tune its energy, and when it combines with a bleepy organ line, It's My World becomes much more than your average jacked-up deep houser. On the flip, Like House is a deeper affair, with male vocals chopped up and sprinkled throughout. Once again, Miles brings a huge bassline to the party, with carefully placed synth stabs filling out the already funk-filled rhythm track
