Israeli artist Muchak returns to Asymmetric Recordings with a wonderful 9 track album.
This album is firmly aimed at the dance floor, as every track (apart from the last) is a peak time melodic slice of musical magic. Drawing on all of Israel's current musical form and musical dominance, starting with the quirkiness of 'Tetrahedrone', the hypnotic flavours of 'Coincidence' and the dreamy edges of 'Attention'.
We start getting serious as 'Air' unfurls its musicality, while the warm yet trippy sounds of 'Kaktus' bring a smile to your face, before 'Roots' take things deeper, with great use of vocals.
'Eight Hours' goes a little darker, yet still full of harmonics, before picking up the pace with the haunting 'Asibolla', before we are treated to the outro 'Patient'.
