Integrity Records welcomes one of Portugal's finest, Kapar with its latest release. Fusing jacking grooves with acid synths and raw percussion alongside three original tracks is a remix from the influential John Beltran.

Lisbon based Kapar, real name Joao Silva Pires, has championed his analogue sounds on labels ranging from Gerd's 4Lux Black to the iconic Dutch imprint Clone. His machine funk style is a melting pot of influences including funk, dub, jazz and hip hop.

US stalwart John Beltran has released tracks and remixes on highly respected contemporary imprints including Bicep's Feel My Bicep, Delsin, R&S Records and Peacefrog. With a back catalogue that spans over two decades, his timeless style has resonated through dance floors across the world.

'Boytoy' opens the release with a heavy kick drum and acidic bleeps before 'Tangible Knowing' takes the reins with soulful vocal textures blended alongside a funk-fuelled bassline. Getting darker and more tech-inspired, 'Plunge' is the last but not to be overlooked 'B side' weapon of the originals. John Beltran concludes the release with a deep techno rework of Boytoy, blending his trademark ambient textures with key elements from the original.
Kapar 'Alma-Maquina' EP will be released on the 16th of June, 2020.
