Canadian House hero Andy Clockwork returns to Tilted Records with a silky slice of deepness. Just what the Dr ordered! Remix support comes from Landon Terrace and Sivs.
A trained drummer, Andy's early influences ranged between punk, funk, and disco. Beginning his DJ career in Australia, he returned to Canada in '99 and began his first of two residencies at the epicentre of house music in Vancouver: the legendary Lotus. Starting his producing career many years later, he is now releasing on respected labels such as East Van Digital and Blackbug Recordings.
'Drs Orders' is a slinky, sultry slice of contemporary House. Devilishly deep and sparsely arranged the guttural bass tones, spacey stabs and woodblock rhythm keep this interesting throughout. On the remix, Landon Terrace add a more machine funk bass and sweeping sonics creating a cinematic reimagination of the main motifs. Meanwhile, Sivs opts for a wonky offbeat arrangement which smacks of classic '90s vibes.
