Battlefloor is the night time full-on psy-trance project of Vincent Nemeti. A 27 year old music producer and DJ from Johannesburg, South Africa. Battlefloor is known for a melancholy forest style psychedelic trance sound, with emphasis on future, glitchy FM sound based on formant and FM synthesis. There is also often emotional and strong musical tonality in what he plays to give the audience something to relate to.
He got his start as a DJ in 2013, by playing the pre-party at Illum!nation where he played a Dark Progressive/Zenon style, he was hooked on that style until he developed a taste for forest style psychedelic trance in 2016. He has also played at major Gauteng based outdoor festivals such as Earthdance JHB, 2 Tswaing Crater Gatherings, Positive Vibrations and Wizards of Trance.
He is also a regular feature in a range of Johannesburg based indoor psy-trance events. He has released an EP in 2020. Battlefloor has also played alongside world renowned psy-trance DJs and producers such as Ace Ventura, D-Addiction, Virtual Light to name but a few. He has also played alongside local heavyweights such as Killer B, Sonic Druid, Kaziel, Bionic, Manifesto, Nic Best (Savage Koala), Mr Sub and Swag Monster.
He has been producing music since 2003, and together with his techno act Vinsanity, he has made 2 albums and various EPs which have been released both locally and internationally. He has also thrown events and was one of the founding members behind Mandala Madness a series of JHB based indoor psy-trance which is now sadly defunct. He has launched a new brand by the name of Massive which is already on it's second installment.
