The latest release from Lucidflow comes from the Berlin based producer Danielle Nicole. While the German music hotspot is her current residence, Danielle's roots lie in New York where she experienced the glory days of the nineties scene in venues such as Sound Factory, Tunnel and Limelight.
Trained in classical music and performance for fifteen years, she pivoted through the lure of the four on the floor, finding a home in intricate minimal techno.
This is precisely what you will find on the 'La Isla' release.

Living up to expectations, the title track is layer upon layer of percussion placed by tweezer and microscope, both complex and hypnotic. This skeletal framework then has a ghostly drifts weaving between it for an atmosphere that suits the final thrall of the winter.
Paired up with this 'Girls' more driving, letting subtle gnarled threads weave their path through the track.

Label bosses Klartraum then step up for a remix of 'Girls', opting to build gradually from a grain of salt. Their mastery of production allows for a grand tease, plus a deft melody to settle over the sinewy original.
