A progressive masterpiece written whilst living abroad, Connor Mac returns to the label with his first solo release and a killer one to kick off the year – his White Shadow EP.
Drawing inspiration from the sounds and scenes he had experienced along his journeys, here Connor wanted to focus on the elements that reminded him of the incredible scene he has at home.
The title track, White Shadow, is the most club friendly of the 3 tracks, to of which where he used sound design to encapsulate the progressive and psychedelic sounds – featuring didgeridoos, organic percussion, glitched out vocals and a low-slung acid line.
Effigy, is a thumping, storytelling house track that focuses on building and releasing the arrangement to create a journey of sound.
To close out the release; The Birds maintains similar elements of the rest of the EP yet stands out on it's own as a deeper and smoother record, showcasing lush chords, swung bongo, percussive elements, and a foley track of birdsong underlying the whole piece.
Connor is an absolute beast and we are very much looking forward to working lots together in the future!
