When asked about his Firestarter EP, Cologne producer Ramirez Son revealed that both tracks include not only a vocal sampled from a horror flick, but are also inspired by their soundtracks. The title track “Firestarter" is a deep house hommage to the 80s synth opus by Tangerine Dream, soundtrack of the 1984 horror movie classic Firestarter. The vocal of the second track “Sacrifice” comes from the movie “the skeleton"key” and builds up progressively, representing the slow descent into madness, just like in the movie. This is backed up by the overall dark atmosphere of the track. All in all this EP tells a very coherent story and we are more than happy to release it on our imprint.
