Taking it funky, this release from eight-fifteen is a double-sided treat for house lovers out there. 'Signs of Life' features the talents of producer/djs Vincent Kwok and MFR from San Francisco, each taking two cuts with their unique blend of funky tracks that will move you and your dance floor.
Vk's Trax 1 & 2 The EP starts off with 'You've Got My Loving', a driving disco-fied bassline that is accompanied by some funky guitar and clav, sounding very much like an old school disco track. Just wait for the chorus to kick in with some fine vocal work from D'layna, the days of Philly disco are back with a vengeance! Your dance floors will never be the same again. 'Cry' features the sultry spoken voice of Ariel Davis over a jazzy saxophone part. A forceful funky bassline provides the solid foundation of this track, perfect for those smooth warm-up sets.

Mfr's Trax 3 & 4 'Get On Me' features the vocals of Indra Jones who has appeared on labels like transport and look at you. This is a deep hypnotic driving track with tribal overtones. Over a bed of rhodes, the voice of ms jones floats, providing the seductive appeal of this track. 'Rasta' takes you on a dubby trip with Corey-O. a driving rhythm and pulsating bassline introduce this track which are soon followed by gorgeous rhodes pads.
