Encompassing all the vibe of early house tracks from the late eighties with its cascading strings forming the main hook, but the deep and wandering bassline creating energy for powering the main room, DJ Technic’s ‘Gabryelle’ is a piece of mid-noughties house history. Originally signed to Spen’s own label Code Red after hearing DJ Technic play an early demo version in a Baltimore club, he re-worked the track into the dancefloor classic it is today. Later signed to Defected in 2005, now 4 To The Floor have re-packaged the consequent remixes inspired by this slice of classic house. Included are the original mix alongside the D-Malice Re-Fix and Spiritual South Remix as well as the Karizma vs DJ Technic ‘Gabryelle vs 4 The Love’ mashup by Klement Bonelli from 2005, plus a more contemporary remix ‘Gabryelle vs 4 The Love’ by Low Steppa.
