Dijon in France is the home of the techno focused Walking rec (sub division of A-TRACTION records), a new Ravy, Techno and EBM label by Marc Ayats.
Along with championing music from established names, WALKING records also helps break fresh talent. This second release sees French up and comer ZPKF make his debut on walking with Overload EP.
3 Techno tracks.
ZPKF is part of this pioneer generation hit full face by the arrival of techno in France in the late 80s.
Radical raver from the 90s, going up and down in burgeoning shindigs, apprentice producer then animator sharing his passion on a local radio, ZPKF widens gradually his musical spectrum moving from a hardcore/acid base to a more techno style.
At the end of 2000, he worked in the mythical Motorbass studios, where he met Julien Naudin and co-founded the duo Torb.
Purist but not puritan, ZPKF now pursues his carrier as a solo artist in order to shape his style and technique : create a deep, essential, unpredictable techno, without flourish. Still developing his own hand-made machines, he created an efficient and condensed set-up live.
Fast and furious, the tracks have uptempo, driving grooves blending heavy percussion with dark atmospherics. This collection of peak time club weapons has a distinctive edge that showcases the raw talent of ZPKF.
